What we collect

When you ask for an offer or ask about an item, we collect your name, phone number, email, ZIP code, a description of the item, and any photos you upload.

If you sell to us at a meetup, California law requires secondhand dealers to record the seller's government photo ID and the item details. We collect that in person, not on this website.

We never ask for gift card numbers or PINs on this website. Never share them here.

How we use it

To review your request, send you an offer, book and remind you about meetups, and keep the records the law requires. We don't sell your information or share it for advertising.

We send messages by email from tomsexchange.com. Our service providers (website hosting, database and email delivery) handle data only to run this service for us.

Photos you upload

Photos are stored privately and are only seen by our team to price your item. We remove location data from photos we publish in the shop.

Cookies and analytics

This site only stores what it needs to work, such as your light or dark mode choice. We don't use advertising trackers or analytics cookies.

How long we keep it

Requests that don't turn into a sale are deleted when they're no longer needed. Purchase records, including ID details, are kept for the period California law requires, then deleted.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we have about you, or ask us to correct or delete it (except records the law requires us to keep). Contact us using the phone number or email at the bottom of this page.
